Recently, 2014, Steve has been creating window paintings for pop-up galleries. Designs are based on traditional textile patterns. They are made by "drawing with tape", sponge painting and removing the tape, creating see through lines which appear dark or light depending on local light conditions and bright colour shapes.
Also here examples of recent work made for Hull primary schools, Hull Carnival,York Carnival and St Just Lafrowda processions or made as prep examples for community workshops.
During 2009 Steve's Creative Partnerships contracts in primary schools in Hull and Scunthorpe have generated carnival masks, murals and outdoor play works.
With groups organised by Doncaster Community Arts, Steve made fantasy masks for drama work.
In 2011 Steve made carnival characters Mr Pickles, Mr Smiley and Jolly Morris Man for Hull Carnival and Westfield Primary school.
In 2012 Steve made Congo Woman, Pulcinella and Simurgh Bird with Arkh refugee centre and Rainbow Zebra with Education Otherwise group for Hull Carnival, Jubilee and Olympic torch relay.
